NotebookLM Getting A Feature That Transforms Notes Into Another Document

Google has made its experimental AI-powered note-taking app, NotebookLM, widely accessible in the US. The app is receiving various new features and has begun utilizing Google’s Gemini Pro AI model to enhance document understanding and reasoning. It can already perform tasks such as summarizing imported documents, generating key points, and even answering questions related to note-taking sources.

Google is introducing a new feature to its note-taking app, NotebookLM, that allows users to convert their notes into different document formats. When selecting the desired notes, the app will suggest formats like outlines or study guides. Additionally, users can specify their preferred format, such as an email, script outline, newsletter, and more.

In addition, NotebookLM will now offer suggested actions based on your activities within the app. For instance, it may automatically provide tools to improve your writing or suggest related ideas from your sources based on your recent input. Other useful features that will be added to the app include the ability to save helpful responses as notes, share your notes with others, and focus the AI capabilities of NotebookLM on specific sources during conversations.
