In the previous month, Samsung provided a glimpse of the Galaxy Ring following the conclusion of the Galaxy S24 launch event. The company unveiled the initial appearance of the smart wearable while choosing to keep the main features undisclosed to maintain anticipation until the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in the summer.

New details about the Galaxy Ring have emerged online, courtesy of South Korea’s ET News. The upcoming smart wearable is anticipated to feature an advanced heart rate monitor and could be released in the latter part of July, along with the new Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Fold6 series foldable phones.

Because of the variations in people’s sizes across different regions, companies provide shirts, ear tips for earphones, and other products in various sizes such as small, medium, large, and extra large. Samsung also aims to ensure that the Galaxy Ring can accommodate everyone by offering it in at least eight different sizes.

Additionally, the Galaxy Ring will feature an advanced electrocardiogram sensor and have the capability to conduct blood flow measurements. The company plans to integrate an NFC (Near Field Communication) sensor to facilitate digital cash transfers at retail stores. According to the report, the company is in the final stages of testing the prototype model and is expected to start mass production well before the late July launch event.

In a related update, it is also rumored that Apple is developing a comparable project. The company has filed for a patent with the United States Patent and Trade Office. The Apple device, designed in the shape of a ring, will serve as both a controller and input device for connected devices. It features a movable outer edge and several touch sensors that can be utilized to operate smart home appliances.
