The Big Man Draymond Green Ejected For Putting Rudy Gobert In Headlock In NBA

During an NBA in-season tournament game, Klay Thompson, a teammate of the Golden State Warriors big man, and Jaden McDaniels, a forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves, were ejected from the game. Draymond Green got ejected for taking matters into his own hands, his arms on Tuesday. The Brawl began when Thompson and McDaniel started pulling and shoving each other in transition. Wolves center Rudy Gobert intervened to restrain Thompson, using a defensive hold to separate him. This action lasted for approximately seven seconds. Both Thompson and McDaniels received double technical fouls, while Green was penalized with a flagrant 2 foul, resulting in automatic ejections for all three players. The score was still 0-0 for Draymond Green teams.

This was the 18th ejection, postseason included, of Draymond Green career, increasing his lead among active NBA players. He received his 17th ejection just last weekend. Thompson didn’t seem to agree with his ejection. The Timberwolves have secured a 104-101 victory, improving their record to 2-0 in West Group C of the in-season tournament standings. After the game, crew chief Tyler Ford told a pool reporter that Draymond Green was assessed as a flagrant because he aggressively put Gobert in a headlock and refused to let go. The Warriors started the game without Stephen Curry, who was sidelined due to right knee soreness. In 10 seconds, they lost the other two members of their longtime trio with at least 46 minutes left to play.
